Our Mission
At Ribbons For Reinvention, we are driven by a powerful mission to empower individuals in need through beauty initiatives. Our focus areas include providing access to beauty and wellness resources, fostering creativity, and promoting self-expression for victims of domestic violence. We believe that everyone deserves to feel beautiful and confident, regardless of their circumstances.
While it may seem trite, handpicking your outfit or having the luxury to choose a new beauty product can make all the difference for women who have endured domestic violence. Violence against women can influence a victim’s belief system and consequently mold them into someone they do not recognize, directly impacting their self-worth. At Ribbons, we believe that extending beauty and fashion resources to victims of domestic violence can help mobilize survivors and assist them in their journey to self discovery, making healing more attainable. When narcissistic ideas are projected onto victims experiencing intimate partner violence, victims are typically met with a dysregulation of self-esteem, a sense of inadequacy and an overall feeling of worthlessness. Abusers often quench their incessant need to assert control over a victim through belittling them to feel small and destroying their self-esteem.
Ribbons aims to take the first step in combating the vicious cycle that domestic violence victims fall into. Through working with local organizations, salons, and beauty brands - Ribbons wants to help survivors take the first step in reconstructing their own self-image through the power of beauty. Whether you’re seeking a fresh blowout, a curated fashion bundle from our volunteers, or some makeup products to color your day… we have you covered.
Our team specializes in developing impactful beauty campaigns, managing creative initiatives, and organizing fundraising events to support our cause. With a strong emphasis on empathy, outreach, and community, we strive to create meaningful experiences for those we serve.
